Preparing Your Computer to Use WebCT version 6.0:

• You MUST prepare your Internet browser to work properly in WebCT 6.0.
  
  You will need to complete ALL steps as listed for the browser you plan to use for accessing your course:
  
  Go to http://webct6.wncc.net and click "Check Browser" on the top right menu bar.

Protecting your computer:

• You MUST have BOTH an antivirus program and a spyware blocking utility installed on your computer.

Various types of these programs are available for download for those who do not already have antivirus/spyware protection through other products:

SpyBot - A free spyware detecting program

These applications work in the background while you browse the Internet.  When they detect a pop-up window that may be an unwanted advertisement, they automatically close the window.  Unfortunately, they also inhibit WebCT from performing properly. 

If you are unable to view Discussion postings, Quiz windows, and download links, identify http://webct.wncc.net:8900 as a trusted site.
