Duties include teaching, curriculum development, scheduling, advising, lab and equipment maintenance, ordering of supplies and equipment, counseling, recruitment, placement, and other program management duties as assigned.   The successful candidate will possess extensive electrical industry knowledge (equivalent to at least an Associates Degree; higher academic attainment preferred) and experience in the construction and maintenance of both transmission and distribution systems including an excellent working knowledge of appropriate OSHA safety standards, plus experience in teaching these concepts and skills to potential lineman.  This position requires the following tasks: climb and perform work on utility structures; connect transformers; metering both single and three-phase; hot sticking; underground installation; trouble shooting; and switching. <description><![CDATA[Provide instruction in a range of English composition classes, including both developmental and transfer-level coursework, plus verifiable qualifications to teach Public Speaking and Human Communications classes, or other types of courses in areas (such as reading or humanities) typically offered by a Division of Language and Arts at a two-year institution.  Primary teaching responsibility will be at Sidney, with potential for some travel required to the WNCC administrative campus in Scottsbluff, NE (a distance of 75 miles) or to the Alliance campus (approx. 80 miles).  Priority will be given to learning-centered instructors with a willingness/ability to develop and teach courses using a variety of electronic media and/or interactive TV systems.  Favored candidates will also have the necessary qualifications to acquire Nebraska State Teacher Certification for use in concurrent enrollment classes, and he or she should in all cases be willing to participate in the assessment and improvement of student learning.Masters degree in English, composition/rhetoric, or the equivalent, along with graduate-level coursework and documented experience in the second general-education area.  Must demonstrate proficiency in and a passion for teaching both foundations- and transfer-level coursework.  Successful candidate will work comfortably in a small team environment and understand  the learning style needs of traditional, non-traditional, and at-risk students; community college teaching experience preferred.
